This little scallop gem has been painted with a rusty orange color. Its lines have been accented with a brownish, almost penny color while the back has been made a deep burgundy. The shell is about 2" x 2".

Every shell is hand painted with care with an enamel-like paint. To let the paint properly dry and not "glomp", I will let hours and sometimes days pass between coats and accents. This ensures that each piece is of high quality with a finish that is durable. I also paint shells that are imperfect as I do not want to destroy natural beauty.
